Yes, indeed! Christchurch's leading boutique homewares and lifestyle store, formerly known as  Corso de' Fiori, was established more than 30 years ago and was rebranded as Corso Merivale after the current owners purchased the store in 2013. Continuing the legacy created by its founders, Corso Merivale offers a curated collection of quality designer goods for the discerning style hunter from across New Zealand and around the globe.

What designers and brands can I expect to find at Corso Merivale?

We stock a curated collection of quality designer homewares, fashion and lifestyle products from across New Zealand and around the globe that include Alessi, Areaware, Baobab, Bassike, Blunt, Eva Solo, Glerups, Good & Co, Izipizi, KreafunkLaing Home, Maraca, Menu, Missoni Home, RM Williams, Secrid, Seletti and Walter G.

Which online shopping payment methods do you accept?

Corso Merivale aims to provide the best possible online shopping experience with a range of safe and secure online payment methods including Shopify payments, credit card, Afterpay and Zip (formerly know as PartPay).

Can I pay for my purchase later?

Yes, we offer the option of Zip (formerly know as PartPay) and AfterPay, so you can select the pieces you love now and pay for your purchase over easy instalments. Is my payment information safe?

Your payment security is of the utmost importance to us. Our purpose built online store features a safe and secure payment gateway and our systems never store customers’ credit card details.

What are your shipping costs?

Corso Merivale offers complementary standard shipping on all New Zealand-wide orders over $250, excluding heavy and bulky items such as furniture.

Shipping costs for transactions under $250 are calculated at a flat rate of $20 nationwide. 

Please note that there is an additional $10 fee for Rural Delivery,  which will show as $30 at checkout (Normal shipping + Rural Calculated)

Additional shipping costs for more remote areas such as Stewart Island, Waiheke Island and the Chatham Islands will be calculated based on weight and dimensions. Please contact us for a shipping quote for your intended purchase.

How much is shipping for furniture & bulky items?

Please contact us to enquire about the delivery costs for heavy and bulky items, such as furniture, as these shipping costs are quoted by arrangement. Please select 'PICK-UP INSTORE' at the checkout, and we will be in touch to arrange collection or delivery.

Can I pick up my item in-store?

If you live locally and wish to save on shipping costs, we also offer an in-store pickup option, available at the checkout.

Do you offer international shipping?

At this stage we only offer shipping within New Zealand. For International orders, please contact us direct.

How will my purchase be delivered?

All of our orders are dispatched via Track-and-Trace courier within New Zealand, excluding heavy and bulky items such as furniture, which are shipped by arrangement.

When can I expect my order to arrive?

In the case of standard courier delivery, you can expect to receive your purchase within 5 working days, or up to 7 working days for rural delivery. Heavy and bulky items, such as furniture, are shipped by arrangement and our team will provide you with an estimated delivery time frame at the time of quoting.

Do you have a gift wrapping service?

Offering the complete shopping experience, Corso Merivale provides complementary gift wrapping on all online purchases – even those gifts we give ourselves! However, if you are buying something to be sent directly to someone other than yourself, simply add a note at the checkout with the personal message you would like written in the accompanying gift tag and what the occasion is so we can select the appropriate card.

Am I able to return an item if I don’t like it or change my mind?

While Corso Merivale has a no returns policy on all sale items, we are more than happy to offer a store credit for returns on full-priced items.

If for any reason you're not 100% satisfied with your purchase, contact the store within 7 days of receiving your order to arrange the return of your purchase for a store credit. Please note that the return of your items to our Merivale store is at your own expense and any returned items must be in un-used condition in the original packaging.

Am I able to return a sale item?

Corso Merivale has a no returns policy on all sale items; all sale purchases are final. We will always honour the Consumer Guarantees Act. 

What if my item arrives damaged or has a fault?

While Corso Merivale takes the utmost care with all orders, which includes careful pre-shipping screening and appropriate packing, in the rare event your order arrives in less than perfect condition, we are more than happy to offer a replacement item or refund where a replacement is not available. If your order arrives damaged please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your purchase so we can arrange your replacement or refund as soon as possible.
